Millers since 1704
Louis, a young globetrotter, is traveling around the world to discover iconic recipes. A food lover, an epicurean, he is sharing his passion for “the good” instilled by his family: the oldest wheat millers family in Luxembourg, Moulins de Kleinbettingen.
“My quest to sample the world’s most famous pastries led me to Liege, Belgium, home to one of life’s most delightful indulgences – authentic Liege waffles. Faster than I could say Hello! to the cheery street vendor, I had a steaming, buttery, vanilla-laden joy for the senses in hand. PSST: The secret ingredient to this exquisite dish is the healthy dose of solid pearl sugar in the batter, which melts and caramelizes when cooked. It’s amazing! And caution: tempting as it may be, don’t eat the batter! The sugar can be hard to the teeth when not cooked.”
